Traffic Light Exercise


In this blog, I am going to talk about the traffic light and it wasn’t really something I am familiar with, I didn’t really know how it works when the traffic light is broken but I did know that the car one the right-hand side always goes first since it’s similar to how roundabout works

It was new for me since I haven’t done or study the theories questions yet. I learned that when two cars don’t cross paths and is just going straight ahead then the pedestrians from south and north can go and cross the road. It also works both ways like north and south ore east and west.

How I felt about the delivery method was helpful and I learned more when I started to talk to the person next to me. When we were working in groups was easy but difficult at the same time. I like working in group because I learned from one another. What I didn’t like about it was that some of us didn’t know how traffic lights work so it was difficult to explain it in English. I didn’t really enjoy working with one on one because none of us knew the answer to how traffic light works.

How I felt about having to write about my experience is that it was okay but I was a little bit struggle because I didn’t know where or how to start. After talking to the people from the course that I’m friends with, I figured out how to start it wasn’t that difficult and I think I was just overthinking it due to the fact I haven’t done a blog before. Now I understand how traffic light works a little more than before I am a little bit more confidence learning more about the work rules.

Game Vision Statement

Zoobe is what the name for the puzzle and adventure game I want to design.  It is a game where you are an animal, in a shape of a box and trying to escape from the zoo without getting caught but the humans or traps. The background story for this game is that one night the animal decided that they want to get away and out of the zoo and be free. Some nights after, one of the animal's gate was left unlock and left their "home" behind them. Since all the animals wanted to be free and actually go back to the jungle. The animal that escape went to get the key for the gate, with the help of other animals trying to get the zoo keeper drop the key to all the gates. To play this game, you are the animal who's gate was left unlock and have to get the key to open the other gates for the animal. Game Design

After reading about what is a game and what we should look in when making a game, I found three different website based on the same ideas but different information. 5 Game Elements That Create Effective Learning Games  by Arunima Majumdar Game Design, An Introduction  by Jill Duffy What are game-elements? (PacMan as reference)  by Ellis The first article I read gave me some game mechanics that I should considered when making a game for our assignment. Arunima talks about: Conflict ; have some sort of challenges for the player to overcome. It could be a physical obstacle, combat with another player or a puzzle that has to be solved.
